Wiki Loves Film, a summer challenge and contest initiated by Wikimedia Czech Republic and expanded in 2025 to the entire Central European region (CEE Hub), will take place this year from July 1 to August 31, 2026. This popular event will involve both existing and new participating countries this year, focusing on expanding and creating articles in various languages, as well as collaborating with partners and uploading photos. In 2025, community members created 404 articles in 7 languages and uploaded more than 300 photos. New this year will be a collaboration with the Nowe Horyzonty festival and a focus on Uzbek cinema (editaton in July). For more information, visit film.wikimedia.cz.
