September WikiSchool: Uploading Images and Galleries to Wikipedia

In September, WikiSchool returns to the topic of photographs and galleries — we’ll explore how to best upload your own photos, how to upload larger quantities, describe and categorize them properly. We’ll also look at tools that can be used for bulk photo edits, explain the purpose of the generator svoleniautora.wikimedia.cz, and discuss how to upload and organize galleries effectively within Wikipedia articles. The session is part of the Czech Wiki Photo challenge, which culminates in November — and you can still join in!

The online WikiSchool will take place on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 17:00 to 18:30 (CEST). If you have questions or would like to continue working afterwards, you can join any Monday at 18:00 for our regular Wikipedia Helpdesk (Wikiporadna).

You can register here, where you’ll also find all remaining details and information.

What is Online WikiSchool?
It is a series of regular, specialized workshops that were originally designed mainly for seniors — especially graduates of beginner and advanced Senior Citizens Write Wikipedia courses — but are now open to all Wikipedia users.

What does the Evening WikiSchool offer?
It offers an opportunity to develop specific skills every good Wikipedian needs. We focus on methods and hacks you can apply directly in your editing practice.

Don’t wait with your registration — the workshop has limited capacity.

Activities of the Senior Citizens Write Wikipedia program are supported by the grant program “Support of Public Purpose Activities of Senior and Pro-senior Organizations with Nationwide Reach.”
