The November edition of WikiSchool will return to the topic of uploading images and files to Wikimedia Commons. This time, however, we will take a detailed look at how so-called free licenses (Creative Commons) work and the legal aspects associated with their use. We will also cover the practical side of things, such as under what conditions it is possible to upload such works and what to watch out for. The workshop will be led by Vlastimil Slovák, Wikimedia Czech Republic’s Advocacy Coordinator and a lawyer.
The online WikiSchool will take place on Tuesday, 11 November 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. If you have follow-up questions or want to continue learning, feel free to join our regular Monday WikiCounseling sessions at 6:00 PM.
You can register here, where you’ll also find all the details and practical information.
What is Online WikiSchool?
It is a series of regular, specialized workshops originally designed primarily for seniors — especially graduates of beginner (and advanced) Seniors Write Wikipedia courses — but today it is open to all Wikipedia users.
What does Evening WikiSchool offer?
It offers the opportunity to develop specific skills that every good Wikipedian needs. We will focus on editing techniques and useful tips you can use in your Wikipedia work.
Don’t hesitate to register — the workshop has a limited capacity.
