On Saturday, July 25, the very first creative workshop as part of the Wiki Loves Film challenge took place at Wikimania in Paris. The workshop aimed to highlight that the international CEE Wiki Loves Film challenge and competition is now in its second year, as well as to draw attention to the untapped potential of images and works published on Wikimedia Commons. Their license (CC-BY-SA) allows for creative use in the form of collages, upcycling, and remixes, and the workshop participants collaborated to create just such works. The instructors were Klára Joklová, Executive Director of WMČR, and Tadeáš Bednarz, Community Programs Coordinator. The event drew great interest from participants; photos can be found in the category on Commons.
