This year’s competition once again showed just how diverse and photogenic Czech nature can be. 35 photographers uploaded a total of 1,159 photographs to Wikimedia Commons, from which the jury selected the 15 best images. These photographs will now represent the Czech Republic in the international final. The winning photograph of two Eurasian hoopoes mating was taken by Lukáš Kott, who had been waiting almost five years for this unique moment.
