On the last weekend of April (25–26 April 2025), Prague hosted the annual General Assembly of the Wikimedia Europe network. The event took place at H40 in the Holešovice Market and brought together dozens of representatives from affiliate organisations across Europe.
During the two-day programme, participants discussed topics such as strategy, digital services and regulation, AI in relation to Wikipedia, as well as networking and strengthening collaboration across communities. The event also included board elections and thematic workshops.
The gathering also featured a public Friday evening discussion “AI meets Wikipedia” and a Sunday workshop focused on affiliate-community relations. A social programme was also included – an evening boat trip on the Vltava River.
