New Blog Post: Add a Citation 2025 – How (Not Only) Librarians Help Improve Wikipedia’s Credibility

Imagine an encyclopedia that doesn’t say where its information comes from. It’s the citations that make Wikipedia valuable — they allow statements to be verified, protect the content from speculation, and increase its credibility. And while most articles today already include sources, there are still many places where references are missing. Every citation counts — and every edit contributes to the overall quality of the content. That’s exactly what the annual international campaign #1Lib1Ref is all about: encouraging editors around the world to add references. This year, we promoted it in the Czech Republic for the first time under the name Přidej citaci (“Add a Citation”).

How did the campaign go this year? Read our new blog post to find out!
