On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, the online edit-a-thon “Finish Her Story” (Dopiš svou ženu) brought editors together on Zoom for a final publishing sprint to close out this year’s campaign.
The workshop served as the grand finale of the nationwide Women’s Month on Wikipedia challenge. Organized by Wikimedia Czech Republic, the initiative actively works to bridge the gender gap by adding notable women to the encyclopedia and supporting female contributors.
What went down during the session?
- Newcomers got step-by-step help from experienced tutors with templates, formatting, and sourcing.
- Pro editors teamed up to add missing citations and upload fresh photos to Wikimedia Commons.
- The result: A collective final push that got dozens of pending drafts polished and live.
