The CEE region’s Wiki Loves Film challenge focuses on filmmaking and cinematography not only in Central but also in Eastern Europe. That is why the first event of this challenge is an edit-a-thon called Wiki Loves Uzbek Cinema. The online edit-a-thon, open to anyone interested, will take place on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Its goal is to raise awareness of Uzbek cinema, for example, by translating the relevant article on the English Wikipedia.
