On Czech Wikipedia, women make up only 18.4% of biographical articles. For several years now, a community of editors has been working to address this imbalance through Women’s Month on Wikipedia – last year alone, they improved nearly 500 articles. Wikimedia Czech Republic is therefore launching another edition of the challenge (March 1 – April 8, 2026) and inviting the public to get involved. The highlight will be a public edit-a-thon held on March 24 at the Czech Academy of Sciences.
